About this session:  Today, most nonprofits have at least some sort of social media presence, but very few are using social media to its fullest potential. In this interactive workshop, you'll learn what social media can (and cannot) accomplish for your organization and how to use it for maximum mission impact. We'll discuss:

 

  • What most nonprofits do wrong on social (and how to avoid it)
  • How to build a social media strategy and calendar that aligns with your nonprofit's strategic and marketing/communications plans
  • Your target social media audience and what they're looking for from you
  • How to determine which social media platforms to spend your time on and how to vary your strategy for each one
  • Finding your brand's voice
  • What to measure in regard to social media and how to tie that measurement to your mission

About the Presenter:    Alyssa Conrardy, President and Co-founder of Prosper Strategies

The president and co-founder of Prosper Strategies, Alyssa Conrardy is on a mission to help nonprofits realize the full potential of marketing so that the nonprofit sector can realize its full potential to change the world. Alyssa tis recognized as an expert by nonprofits across the country thanks to her ability to craft and lead marketing and communication programs that advance nonprofit missions and drive social change. She has a strong focus on helping nonprofits integrate marketing into every aspect of their strategic plans and on utilizing research and data to inform campaign strategy. Thanks to her background in journalism, she is also highly skilled at weaving together traditional and digital communications, storytelling and data. When she isn’t busy building brands and tackling communications challenges with Prosper Strategies’ nonprofit clients, Alyssa spends her time shaping the perspectives and approaches that drive the firm’s work.
